Kravis Bio: Kravis co-founded Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), a merchant banking firm that was instrumental in legitimizing the use of leveraged buy-outs for underperforming organizations. He has overseen some of the largest deals in business history, including the $25 billion deal to buyout RJR Nabisco in 1988, then one of the highest prices ever paid for a commerical enterprise.
